The project dealt with the design of in-flight catering in business class during a short-haul flight of a Middle East carrier. The term ‘service’ and its possibilities have been investigated against the background of various factors such as safety during serving, comfort and experience for the passenger and logistics and hygiene from food shopping to waste disposal. The designs by the students range from the staging of a wine tasting to solutions for the special eating habits of the Middle Eastern culture.
