Examamma

Through the routine use of mammography in breast cancer early detection, mortality has been significantly reduced over the past decades. The patient usually experiences this X-ray of the breast as a very painful procedure. In an effort to attract even more women to this examination, Examamma is focusing on various decisive innovations: It takes account of the special anatomy of the female breast and thus ensures a significant reduction in pain. In Examamma, the upper paddle is curved and coated with a soft, radiolucent gel. The other contact surfaces, such as handles and forehead support, are also ergonomically shaped. Examamma’s biggest innovation is the shooting position. Mammography is performed in a flexed posture. This relaxes the chest and arm muscles and makes them soft. This reduces pain during compression.
